Delivery

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to most of San Diego County, Riverside County, and Orange County

How will I know if I'm in your delivery area?

Scroll to the bottom of our homepage, and click on delivery area. Once you are there, type in your zip code into the search box, and it will let you know if your address is within our delivery zone.

When do you deliver the meals?

We deliver on Sundays between 7 am and 6 pm, and on Wednesdays between 5 pm and 9 pm.

What if I'm not home when the delivery is made?

The meals are packed in an insulated bag on ice. The food will remain on ice for 5-6 hours.

Do you deliver all of my meals on one day?

If you are on a 10, 15, or 20 meal plan, then your meals are split delivered between Sunday and Wednesday. If you are on a 10 meal plan, then you will receive 6 meals on Sunday, and 4 meals on Wednesday. If you are on a 15 meal plan, you receive 8 meals on Sunday, and 7 meals on Wednesday. If you are on a 20 meal plan, you receive 10 meals on Sunday and 10 on Wednesday.

How do you keep my food fresh during delivery?

Our meals come packaged and sealed in an insulated bag on ice. They will remain fresh for about 5-6 hours after delivery.

Ordering

How do I order?

Click 'Get Started' on our homepage or click 'Order' from our navigation menu on the top right. You will be guided through a few simple steps.

Can I change my meal plan?

Yes, you can always pick another meal plan. Your current meal plan will be cancelled and your new one will begin the next week.

Do I have to enroll in a reocurring weekly meal plan?

No, you can select how long you would like to have meals delivered to you. You have the option of enjoying SoCal Fresh for one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, or eight weeks. Anything over eight weeks, and you should sign up for a reocurring weekly meal plan.

How can I sign up for a one time order instead of a subscription?

When you checkout, during the step by step ordering process, you will have the option to select how long you'd like to receive meals.

The Food

Do I have an option to select what meals I want?

We don't offer specific meals. Instead we offer meal preferences based on what meal plan and diet lifestyle you select during the checkout process.

What if I have very specific dietary needs?

You can select the "Personal Chef" option when you are checking out. This option allows our customers to indicate any food allergies, and/or dietary restrictions they may have. However, if you have single ingredient requests, such as a personal dislike for onions, or cilantro, we cannot accommodate your needs because it just isn't possible for our chefs to change the meals. If you like to avoid brocolli or brussel sprouts, we may be able to accommodate those types of requests, but can't guarantee it every week.

What if I don't like brussel sprouts or cauliflower?

You would select the "Personal Chef" lifestyle optoin when you checkout. Once you are there, you will be prompted to indicate specific meal preferences. We can't guarantee that we can avoid every vegetable you dislike, but we will try our best to accommodate all of your needs within reason.

Do you provide vegan/vegetarian meal options?

Yes, during the checkout process, you will have the option of signing up for a specific lifestyle. Vegans an vegetarians would select the "Vegan/Vegetarian" option. We never use dairy in our entire menu and kitchen. However, we will use pasture-raised eggs in select meals, and vegans have the option of not including eggs in their meals as well. Vegetarians also have the option of not including soybased foods like tofu in their meal plan.

Do you have paleo options?

Yes, we offer a "Paleo" meal plan. Once you select how many meals you'd like per week, you will be given a few lifestyle options to choose from. Simply select "Paleo" from the drop down, and proceed to checking out.

Are your meals gluten free?

Our entire menu is always gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free. However, our kitchen has not been gluten-free certified as of yet.

Are your meals sugar-free?

Yes, our meals are free of any refined white sugars. We may sometimes sweeten some sauces with coconut sugar, or a tiny bit of agave.

Are your meals dairy-free?

You may love cheese and milk, but we do not use any form of dairy in any of our meals, sauces, and ingredients.

How long will the food stay fresh?

We work with our suppliers to source local ingredients for you! Our organic produce does not spend much time on a shelf—we generally get our ingredients into your home in less time than a grocery store could. Since organic ingredients have no artificial preservatives they have a shorter shelf life. Most meals will remain fresh to consume within 5 days of arrival. Note: Please consume seafood and fish as soon as possible, typically within 3 days is best practice.

Is your food healthier than food I can eat at a restaurant?

Yes absolutely. We offer pasture-raised chicken, grass-fed beef, wild-caught fish and local organic produce. We also only cook with heart healthy oils like coconut, avocado, and olive oil. Restaurants tend to use cheap vegetable oils like soy, canola, and other "economical" oils like soy and peanut. These oils have tremendous consequences on our bodies and we want our customers to be aware of the benefits of clean eating. You'll feel the difference in just a few short weeks, we promise!

What makes your food better?

Simple, taste and nutrition. All of our meals are nutritionally dense, with no fillers, no gluten, no refined white sugar, and no dairy, ever! We guarantee we taste better than any other local meal prep. We encourage you to a taste challenge!

Cooking

Do I have to cook the food?

No, all of our meals are pre-packaged, cooked, and delivered ready to eat. Just heat and eat!

How do I warm up the food?

We suggest removing the food content from the food tray and warming it up for 3-5 minutes in a skillet on the stove-top. However, you may also warm up the food in a microwave. Please remove the paper sleeve from the tray, place the tray with the top opened on the corner, and microwave on medium for 1:30 - 2:30 minutes.

Heating the food on the stovetop

Please remove all packaging. Oil the skillet with a teaspoon of your favorite heart healthy oil. We suggest avocado oil for a healthy neurtral taste. Heat on medium for 3-5 minutes.

Heating the food in the microwave

Remove the paper sleeve around the food tray. Place the tray with the lid on in the microwave. Heat on medium for 1:30-2:30 minutes.

Subscription

How do I add more meals to my meal plan?

You have to cancel and re-enroll in a larger meal plan.

When is the weekly cutoff time to make changes to my delivery or subscription?

The cutoff time to skip a delivery, make any changes to a delivery, or cancel your subscription is 48 hours prior to your next delivery day. For example, if you are set to receive your delivery on Wednesday, your cutoff time will be the Monday prior, before 7:30 PM.

How do I change my delivery address?

To change the delivery address on your account, login to your account by clicking the Login tab on our homepage. Click the Delivery tab, click Edit, and enter your full delivery address. Add any notes that will help our delivery team. Don’t forget your apartment or unit number. When finished, click Save Changes to update your address. Be sure to make the delivery change at least 48 hours prior to your next delivery day.

How do I skip a week?

Visit your account by logging in our homepage. Click on "Delivery Schedule". Click 'Skip' for the weeks you don't want food. You will not be charged for the week(s) you skip. Be sure to skip before your cutoff time 48 hours prior to your next delivery day.

How do I change my payment information?

To change your payment information, visit the Account Info section by logging into your account. Click Payment, click Edit and enter your card number, the expiration date, and the CVC code (three-digit security code on the back of your card). Remember to make any changes before the cutoff time: 48 hours before your next delivery day.

What if I forgot my password?

Click Login on our homepage. Click Forgot Password to reset and create a new one.

Can I change my account password?

Yes, click this link to change your password.

How do I cancel or pause my subscription?

To cancel your subscription log into your account. Click cancel. To avoid another delivery, be sure to cancel before your cutoff time.

Meal Plan

How do your meal plans work?

You click Get Started on the homepage, or click on Meal Plans on the menu at the top of our homepage. Once you are there, you will be guided through steps that will allow you to choose your dietary lifestyle and delivery preferences.

Are these subscriptions daily, weekly, monthly?

All of our subscriptions are weekly, and customers are charged once a week.

Do I have to re-order every week?

No. Your meal plan renews every week until you skip, pause, or cancel.

What if I don't want to enroll in a reocurring weekly meal plan?

We offer one time purcahses of meal plans for durations as small as 1 week all the way to 8 weeks. You have the same ability to choose 5, 10, 15, or 20 meals per week, and you always have the option of selecting dietary preferences.

Is there a commitment I have to make when I purchase a meal plan?

No, we do not force any kind of contractural obligations when enrolling in a meal plan. Even if you only choose to have a meal plan for 3 weeks, and after the first week you decide to leave on a vacation; you can always cancel your meal plan and you won't be charged for the remainder of your meal plan. Make sure to cancel before our 48 hour cutoff time prior to your next delivery date.

What dietary options do you offer?

We offer a variety of menus to cater to different lifestyles and dietary preferences. We offer five different lifestyle choices, and each lifestyle choice allows for dietary preferences. Our standard plan includes all our clean proteins, vegetables, roots, and gluten-free grains. Our other lifestyle options include paleo, keto/low-carb, and vegan/vegetarian. For those of use who have very specific dietary needs, we offer an option called the "Personal Chef." Our meal plans allow for customization of protein preferences. You can opt out of receiving certain proteins, like beef, chicken, turkey, or fish. Note: Our ingredients are processed and packaged in the same facility, and cross-contact with major food allergens may occur. While we follow industry-leading best practices in safe food handling, trace amounts of allergens may exist in your meal. If you have a severe allergy, please use your discretion.

Billing

What methods of payment do you accept?

We currently accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club.

When is my credit or debit card charged?

Your credit or debit card is charged Thursdays by 11:59 PM.

How do I change my payment information?

Log in to your acount at socalfresh.com/login or directly from our homepage. Go to Account Info, then click on the Payment tab, and click update payment button. There you will update your billing card and billing address.

What do I do if my card is declined for my next delivery?

Please contact our customer service team via email at support@socalfresh.com or call (951) 479-6522, to speak with a representative about processing your order. If needed, please update the card listed under Account Info in your SoCal Fresh account at socalfresh.com/login

Where can I see my receipts for my weekly meal plans?

Visit the Order History section of your account to view all of your past orders. Click on the View Receipt link in the top right corner of each order to view your detailed invoices. From here, you can also print or email copies of those receipts.

Have a promotion code?

If you are enrolling in meal plan, you will be prompted to enter your promotion code right before you check out. Simple type in the promotion code, (which isn't case sensitive), and check out.

What if I already have a meal plan with SoCal Fresh and you sent me a promotional code for a discount?

Log in to your accoutn on our website; on the Billing Details section of your account is a field for you to enter your coupon code. Enter the code there, and click Apply to receive the dicount on your next billing period.

We take pride in enthusiasctially believing that we cook the best tasting healthy food. In addition to that, we offer a fully clean menu. That means we source the cleanest protein sources available locally, and we always offer organic produce. We also only cook in clean oils like coconut, olive, and avocado. We absolutely never use canola, processed vegetable, peanut, soy, or any other cheap oils that the restaurant industry uses.

Why choose SoCal Fresh over eating out at a restaurant?

Finding a restaurant that offers pasture-raised chicken, grass-fed beef, and wild-caught fish is almost impossible. Our menu consistently offers these clean protein sources. Additionally, we promise that all of our vegetables, grains, legumes, greens, and basically anything else that we cook is always organic and in season when possible. Now, you tell me what restaurant can offer that, at the same price point we offer?! Oh yea, let's not forget we deliver!

Why not meal prep for myself and my family?

We encourage healthy eating no matter what. We're happy to see you doing your thing and in pursuit of the best version of yourself. However, we'd also like to remind you that it takes lots of time and money to shop, cook, and package your meals. Sourcing all of our premium ingredients, proteins, and local vegetables will cost you more than it does us. It also takes gas and time to find all of the ingredients you will need to prepare the meals we prepare for you. We say let us handle the food, and you pick up a new hobby with all of your free time.
